This Weekend at the Bluebird
I don't know if you noticed, but the Bluebird has some outstanding shows lined up over the next few weeks and months. You can check out their full calendar here.
This weekend, there are two great shows you should go out of your way to check out.
On Saturday, Berlin Whale, Bunnygrunt, The Ten Thousand, The Undoing of David Wright, Bears, and The Great Tyrant are playing. It'll be an Indie-spolsion! Or something.
Then, on Sunday...
The Ladybug Transistor is playing with Jumbling Towers, Bound Stems, and Say Panther. This show is truly not to be missed. Except I will be out of town. Again. I need to pare down my travel plans, apparently. Daytrotter has done live sessions for both Bound Stems and The Ladybug Transistor and has free live tracks to download.

wish i knew that before i bought tickets for the lion king. maybe next time around, eh?
Well, you'll enjoy The Lion King. I saw it at The Fox on opening night without ever having even seen the movie, and was really impresed.
